ABOUT KURRAJONG HEIGHTS.
The Cottage is located in the picturesque mountain village of Kurrajong Heights, a small town in the Hawkesbury region of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. Just a stone's throw from Sydney and a mere 10 minutes from Bilpin, it offers an ideal escape.
Kurrajong is a lush haven tucked away amongst rolling green hills, breathtaking panoramic views and the enchanting sounds of bellbirds.
The name "Kurrajong" means "shade tree" in Aboriginal language. The Kurrajong tree was traditionally used by the Koori people as a food source, while its tough fibers were crafted into ropes, twine, fishing lines and nets. In early colonial days the seeds were also roasted as a coffee substitute.
History enthusiasts will appreciate the old buildings and churches, while collectors can loose themselves in antique shops, and nature lovers can embark on bush walks and picnics — there's something for everyone to enojy.
The cottage is also close to Bilpin's renowned cider breweries and several local farm-to-fork organic restaurants, making this an ideal destination for a relaxing getaway.
DOG FRIENDLY.
Small dogs are welcome at MontPierre Cottage. Please contact us prior to your arrival if you wish to bring your furry companion.
